The U.S. immigration law strictly restricts B-1 visa holders to seek employment or to work in the U.S. and the visitor is not allowed to start any program of study.
How long can I stay in the U.S. on B-1 visa?
Persons admitted to the United States on a B1 Non-Immigrant Business Visa are usually issued a 6-month stay. The maximum length of stay for visitor visa holders is 6 months. The immigration officer at the port of entry determines how long each visitor is allowed to stay in the country. Upon entry into the United States, the foreign visitor has the right to request an extension of stay.
Who is eligible for H2-A temporary agricultural visa?
The H-2A temporary agricultural visa is a nonimmigrant visa which allows foreign nationals to enter into the U.S. to perform agricultural labor or services of a temporary or seasonal nature.
What kind of benefits requires the H-2A visa from employers to provide for their temporary workers?
Minimum rates of pay at least at the prevailing wage level, transportation to and from their temporary residence as well as to new worksites, housing meeting federal standards, meals and workers compensation insurance.
